Vol. 392 No. 7

Written Answers. - Coláiste Bríde, Clondalkin.

161.

asked the Minister for Education when it is proposed to authorise the commencement of the extension to Coláiste Bríde, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, which was sanctioned by her Department on 19 May 1986; and if her attention has been drawn to the fact that this school caters in increasingly difficult circumstances for 795 pupils even though it was built for 550 and that projections over the next five years are for increased growth in enrolment; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I am aware of the situation at Coláiste Bríde, Clondalkin. Architectural planning of the project is at stage 1 (site suitability report) of my Department's design team procedures. The extension is among the building projects for which I will be seeking to advance architectural planning next year.
