Vol. 392 No. 7

Written Answers. - Athboy (Meath) School.

162.

asked the Minister for Education if she will make funds available to St. Joseph's school, Convent of Mercy, Athboy, County Meath for the replacement of two prefabricated buildings, which are unfit for human habitation, having regard to the fact that they were erected in 1968; and if she will attend to this matter in the near future.

167.

asked the Minister for Education if she has received an application for funding towards the replacement of two prefabricated classrooms, in use since 1968, at St. Joseph's Convent of Mercy school, Athboy, County Meath; and, is so, if she will indicate the present position in regard to this matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 162 and 167 together.

An application for the replacement of the two prefabricated classrooms in question was received in my Department on 25 October. This application is at present being examined and a decision on the matter will be conveyed to the school authorities in the near future.
