asked the Minister for Education if she has considered proposals from Tullamore Indoor Swimming Pool Committee for the purposes of providing a water sports leisure centre at Tullamore, County Offaly; if she has received any submissions from the secretary of this committee; and the support and assistance her Department will provide to this committee in view of the fact that they are anxious to provide this facility in order to attract tourists to the Tullamore area.

No formal application has been received under my Department's capital grant scheme for the provision of recreational facilities from Tullamore Indoor Swimming Pool Committee. With the exception of funds necessary to meet commitments, no additional funding has been received by my Department for this capital grants scheme. I would refer the Deputy to the Minister for Finance's reply of 24 October 1989 to Questions Nos. 26, 48 and 55.
