Vol. 392 No. 8

Written Answers. - Remedial Teacher.

121.

asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the application from the boards of management of five national schools (details supplied) in County Kildare for the appointment of a remedial teacher; if she accepts the urgent need for this appointment; if she will make the appointment before the end of the current year or if she intends to do so in the context of the 1990 Estimates; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The question of making provision for the appointment of additional remedial teachers in national schools in the current school year is at present being considered in my Department.
