Vol. 392 No. 8

Written Answers. - Tax Rebate.

47.

asked the Minister for Finance when a tax rebate will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Laois.

The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that the taxpayer ceased employment on 30 September 1989 and a claim for repayment of tax was received by the Inspector of Taxes on 24 October 1989. However, as the claim form was improperly completed, the inspector returned same to the taxpayer for completion on 1 November 1989. On receipt of a properly completed form, the inspector will refund any tax due to the taxpayer.

Should the taxpayer remain unemployed he may submit, at four weekly intervals, further claims for repayment of tax deducted in the current year.
