Vol. 392 No. 8

Written Answers. - Bodies Assigned Local Authority Functions.

87.

(Limerick East) asked the Minister for the Environment the number of boards or agencies set up under the Local Government Corporate Bodies Act, 1971, to which the carrying out of a function on behalf of local authorities has been assigned; the name and function of each board or agency; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

None of the bodies established under the Local Government Services (Corporate Bodies) Act, 1971, has been assigned responsibility for carrying out of a function on behalf of a local authority.

The bodies so established provide a variety of services for local authorities.
