A number of outline proposals for development in Dún Laoghaire harbour have been put forward in recent years. Those incorporating marina facilities have been proposed by Marina Developments (Ireland) Limited, the Power Corporation plc. in association with Brent/Walker plc., Carlisle Leisure Developments. Owen Rua Developments and McInerney Developments.
I am setting up an interim harbour board which will assist in the development of the harbour. I will ask the board to examine these and any other proposals with a view to establishing marina facilities.
