The improvement of reception of RTE television programmes is a matter for RTE who are aware that television reception in parts of the Carrickmourne district, Thomastown, County Kilkenny, is less than satisfactory due to the hilly nature of the terrain in the area.
RTE are prepared to carry out a feasibility study for a community owned self-help TV scheme for Carrickmourne should the community indicate interest in the scheme to RTE. It will be a matter for MMDS operators to decide whether they wish to carry RTE services.
