Vol. 393 No. 1

Written Answers. - Beaumont Hospital (Dublin).

253.

asked the Minister for Health the present position regarding the nursing staff in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin 9 who gave evidence in support of a person (details supplied) at the quasi-judicial inquiry and who subsequently wrote to the board of Beaumont Hospital supporting this person; and whether it is proposed to take any action in the matter.

In addition to expressing support for a person the correspondence to the board also contained allegations regarding the professionalism and standard of work of other medical and nursing staff in the hospital. Clarification of these allegations has been sought. There is no investigation or other action proposed in relation to the expressions of support for the person involved.
