Mr. Allen

asked the Taoiseach the number of (i) males and (ii) females claiming (a) unemployment benefit and (b) unemployment assistance at each labour exchange in Cork city and county at present; and if he will supply similar information for each year since 1986.

The following table shows the number of males and females on the live register at each local employment office in Cork city and county on the last Friday of October 1986 to 1989 distinguishing claimants for unemployment benefit, applicants for unemployment assistance and other registrants.
