Vol. 393 No. 1

Written Answers. - National Lottery Fund Allocations.

107.

asked the Minister for Finance the number of applications currently with his Department for allocations from national lottery funds; and when a decision will be made on these applications.

The lottery funds allocated to my Department cover the costs of Gaeleagras na Seirbhíse Poiblí. This is a programme operated directly by the Department and does not deal with applications for funding from outside agencies.

The Office of Public Works, which is in my area of responsibility, has received allocations of lottery funds for the restoration of important buildings. The buildings are in State ownership. There is no question of deciding on applications for assistance from outside agencies. Any applications for lottery funds received in my Department are referred to the appropriate spending Department.
