I propose to take Questions Nos. 36, 48 and 50 together.

The Government feel that the best way of securing the future of Irish Steel Ltd. is by way of some form of association with another steel company. To this end, negotiations for the sale of the company to the Korf KG Group have been going on for over a year now. The reason for the delay in completing the sale is that the purchaser has not, to date, met a number of his contractual obligations.
