Vol. 394 No. 3

Written Answers. - Tax Payable on Sale of Sites.

50.

asked the Minister for Finance the amount of capital gains or other tax payable on sales of sites valued at £20,000; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

If the Deputy's question relates to the total amount of capital gains tax and other taxes payable on the sales of all sites valued at £20,000 then statistics are not recorded in such a manner as would enable the information requested to be provided.

If the question concerns the sale of a particular site valued at £20,000 then specific details relating to the transaction would need to be known before liability to taxes such as capital gains tax, stamp duties, income tax, corporation tax and value added tax, if any, could be ascertained.
