Vol. 394 No. 4

Written Answers. - Cork RTC Facilities.

260.

asked the Minister for Education, having regard to the over-crowding and unacceptable conditions at Cork regional technical college which situation has been communicated to her by the students, the action she proposes to take to rectify these problems; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

266.

asked the Minister for Education if she will make funds available for the improvement of library facilities at Cork regional technical college.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 260 and 266 together. I am aware of the difficulties which exist in Cork regional technical college with regard to library and other facilities. This problem will be addressed within the context of a rolling programme of capacity enhancement and rationalisation to be carried out in all the regional technical colleges, from 1990 onwards, on a priority basis.
