Vol. 394 No. 4

Written Answers. - Inclusion of Children on Non-Irish Passports.

59.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if it is possible for a non-Irish spouse of an Irish citizen living here to put his children on his passport without the consent of the Irish spouse; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

It is assumed that the Deputy is referring to a situation in which the passport in question is not Irish. In such a case the rules relating to the inclusion of children on the passport are laid down by the issuing authority. Some States require only the consent of the passport holder before including children on his/her passport.
