The Garda authorities have informed me that an investigation into possible breaches of EC Regulations on hormones is in progress but that, at this stage, there are no grounds for believing that there is any involvement of illegal organisations. As the matters under investigation may come before the courts presently, I do not consider that any further comment by me, as Minister for Justice, would be appropriate.
