Written Answers. - Farm Grants.

81.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a grant for land reclamation will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary.

I expect this grant to be paid within the next weeks.

82.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a farm improvement grant under the western package will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan; and if payment will be made before the end of the year.

The application is being processed and payment will issue as soon as possible.

83.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a headage grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cavan; and if this grant will be paid before the end of the year.

The person named will be paid his 1989 sheep headage scheme grant before Christmas. He has been paid his 1988 ewe premium scheme grant already.

His cattle file is with field staff at present in connection with the inspection of his herd and if his application is found to be in order after inspection he will be paid all outstanding cattle grants due to him in due course.

84.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the percentage rate and total amount of a farm grant payable to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; and if this person will transfer to the new farm improvement grant programme.

As the approval in this case was issued before the introduction of the scheme for the control of farmyard pollution it does not qualify for the higher rate of grant available under that scheme.

A grant at 20 per cent under the farm improvement programme for £2,482 has been certified for payment.

85.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of a land reclamation grant.

The application is being processed and the payment will issue shortly.
