There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a free fuel allowance from the person concerned. An application form for this allowance was issued to her on 12 December 1989. Upon receipt of the completed application eligibility for the free fuel allowance will be examined.
In order to qualify for a free telephone rental allowance, a person in receipt of a qualifying payment must reside alone or only with persons who come within certain excepted categories. The matter has been referred to a social welfare officer for investigation and the person concerned will be informed of the outcome without delay.
