436 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Education if she intends to commence work on a school (details supplied) in County Westmeath; if there has been an allocation in this year's budget to cover this work; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
The allocation of funds for post-primary building projects is made on a global basis and no specific amount is designated in the Estimates for any particular project. As the programme for 1990 which is currently being prepared has not yet been finalised, I am not in a position at the moment to state whether or not construction work will commence on this school in 1990.
