Written Answers. - Choice of Doctor Scheme.

Enda Kenny

Question:

86 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Health the moneys he is making available in 1990 for the choice of doctor scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A total of £144.8 million has been provided in 1990 to meet the costs of the choice of doctor scheme. This provision takes account of the full year effect of the new capitation system for doctors and savings in the cost of drugs.
