Vol. 394 No. 8

Written Answers. - Health Charges.

Séamus Pattison

Question:

89 Mr. Pattison asked the Minister for Health if he has any plans to reduce or abolish any health charges in 1990; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have no immediate plans to reduce or abolish any health charges. The Deputy will, of course, be aware that the Commission on Health Funding have carried out a detailed examination of all sources of revenue for the health services, and that I am at present engaged in a consultative process with the revelant interests in relation to the commission's recommendations.
