Question:57 Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the salary and expenses paid to (a) the chairperson and (b) the members of the board of Teagasc.

The fee payable to the chairperson of Teagasc is £4,500 per annum. The fee payable to ordinary members is £1,000 per annum. Travel and subsistence allowances are payable to the chairperson and ordinary members at the highest rates applicable to civil servants.
