Michael J. Noonan

Question:

109 Mr. Noonan (Limerick West) asked the Minister for Education if the tenders submitted for the construction of a new primary school at Richill, Lisnagry, Castleconnell, County Limerick have been examined by her Department; when she intends appointing a contractor; when work will commence; and the forecasted completion date.

Tenders for the erection of a permanent extension at Lisnagry, Richill national school, County Limerick which were received on 12 December 1989 are being examined at present. It is not possible to say precisely at this point when a contractor will be appointed, or when works will commence. However, every effort will be made to complete the remaining contractual formalities at the earliest possible date. The contract period specified is 12 months.
