Question:

111 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Education the number of certificates, diplomas, degrees and post-graduate qualifications which have been awarded by the National Council for Educational Awards since its inception; the distribution of such qualifications according to college in each year since its inception; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The information requested by the Deputy is contained in the annual reports of the National Council for Educational Awards which are laid before each House of the Oireachtas and which are available in the Dáil Library.

The latest NCEA report laid before the Houses was in respect of the year 1987. The 1988 and 1989 reports have not yet been submitted to me.
