Question:144 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a cattle headage grant will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo; and the reason telephone queries are not being dealt with in the payments section of his Department.
The person named has been paid an advance under the 1989 cattle and equines headage scheme already. The balance due to him under this scheme together with payments due under the 1989 EC special beef premium and calf premium schemes are being processed and will issue shortly.
Telephone queries have been dealt with in the Castlebar local office of my Department except for one week when the telephone system was out of order.
