Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Lowry

Question:

240 Mr. Lowry asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the application of a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary for a house improvement grant.

A grant cannot be allowed as an inspection had not taken place before March 27, 1987. The applicant was not at home when an inspector called, by appointment in September 1986. he subsequently failed to respond to a request to contact the Department so that arrangements could be made with him for the carrying out of an inspection.
