Vol. 395 No. 9

Written Answers. - Hospital Admission.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

251 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Health if he will investigate the case of a person (details supplied) in County Cork who is awaiting urgent admission to hospital for treatment.

The admission of a patient to hospital is primarily a matter for the hospital authority, in this case, the Southern Health Board. I have asked the Southern Health Board for a report in this instance and the board have indicated that this patient will be receiving surgery within the next two months.
