Vol. 395 No. 9

Written Answers. - Transport Act Licences.

Jim Mitchell

Question:

307 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for Tourism and Transport the number of licences which have been refused outright under the Transport Act, 1986; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Five applications have been refused. An unquantifiable number have been rejected because of incomplete applications or inadequate documentation. The refusal of an application can be appealed to the District Court; therefore I do not refuse applications outright.
