129 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if payment of a headage grant will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

Colm M. Hilliard

Question:

130 Mr. Hilliard asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a special beef premium will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Meath.

Payment to this applicant under the 1989 special beef premium scheme is being processed and will issue shortly.

Liam Hyland

Question:

131 Mr. Hyland asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in payment of reactor grants to a person (details supplied) in County Laois.

The delays in the payment of reactor grants are due to a combination of factors such as staff shortages and the disruption of work occasioned by the transfer of the Department's accounts branch to Cavan. The backlog is now receiving attention and I hope that payment of all grants under the diseases eradication schemes will shortly be back to normal.

Reactor grants due to the person named will be made in the near future.
