Vol. 396 No. 3

Written Answers. - County Waterford Flood Damage Allocation.

Austin Deasy

Question:

173 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details of the £64,000 allocated to Waterford County Council for flood damage; and the date on which the announcement of this allocation was first announced.

I presume the Deputy is referring to a road grant of £65,000 which I notified to Waterford County Council. The grant is a contribution towards the cost of remedial works to public roads and bridges arising from the severe weather in mid-December, 1989. It was notified to the local authority on 7 February 1990.
