Question:220 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education the number of cases in which joint managers of national schools have been appointed within the meaning of rule 15 (6) of the Rules for National Schools.

The great majority of schools are currently operated by boards of management and it has not been possible in the time available to verify if joint management obtains in the case of any small number of schools still conducted by managers. I will communicate this information to the Deputy as soon as possible.
