Vol. 396 No. 3

Written Answers. - Criminal Injuries Compensation.

Jim O'Keeffe

Question:

64 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Justice whether he has any proposals to allow awards to be made by the Criminal Injuries Compensation Tribunal in order that compensation by way of general damages may be paid to the victims of crime.

I have no proposals at present to amend the scheme of compensation for personal injuries criminally inflicted which is administered by the Criminal Injuries Compensation Tribunal.
