Vol. 396 No. 3

Written Answers. - Dublin Garda Stations.

Eamon Gilmore

Question:

71 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Justice if it is intended to close any Garda stations in Dublin during any period of night hours; if he will outline the purpose of the survey which each station in Dublin, other than District Headquarters Stations, was instructed to make of all personal and telephone callers between the hours of 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The survey in question was an internal Garda survey carried out by the Garda authorities as part of an ongoing review of resource deployment and management efficiency. There are no plans to close any Dublin Garda station at night.
