Vol. 396 No. 3

Written Answers. - County Mayo Flooding.

Enda Kenny

Question:

106 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Finance if remedial works will be carried out in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Mayo where consistent flooding has occurred regularly due to works being carried out in the vicinity of the Office of Public Works; if he will have the matter fully investigated; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Commissioners of Public Works have investigated this matter and are satisfied that their drainage works under the Corrib-Mask-Robe catchment drainage scheme in the area, which have been completed for some years, were not the cause of the flooding complained of in this instance. Accordingly they have no plans to undertake the remedial works requested.
