Vol. 397 No. 1

Written Answers. - VAT Refunds.

Michael Noonan

Question:

38 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Finance the arrangements, if any, he has made to ensure that VAT refunds continue to be made in the course of the present industrial action involving tax inspectors; if he will make a statement on the industrial dispute; and if he will outline the steps he is taking to resolve the matter.

I have been informed by the Revenue Commissioners that following negotiations with the union concerned the industrial action which would have affected VAT refunds has been withdrawn.
