98 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Environment the extra provisions in terms of staff and resources which each local authority has received to deal with the onerous paperwork generated by the EC Transfrontier Shipment of Hazardous Waste Regulations, 1988 having regard to the fact that this country is a net exporter of hazardous waste.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 91 and 98 together. The information requested by the Deputy is not available in my Department. The annual staffing returns furnished to my Department by local authorities do not distinguish between the different work activities to which their staff are assigned.
