141 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Justice if he will expedite a transfer of a family farm in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; the reason for the delay in dealing with this case; and when it will be finalised.
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application for a transfer of part (subdivision) which was lodged in the land registry on 27 April 1989. The documents were previously submitted to the land registry on 7 October 1987 and returned to the applicant's solicitors with queries on 15 October 1987.
I am also informed that it is the policy of the Land Registry to try as far as possible, to expedite cases in which it can be established that special circumstances of urgency, exist and any such cases will be specially considered if details are submitted to the registrar.
