Vol. 397 No. 3

Written Answers. - Delay in Replying to Letter.

Michael Noonan

Question:

43 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when he will reply to a letter which was sent to his Department on 7 November, 1989, in connection with the case of a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; and the reason for the delay in acknowledging and replying to same.

A reply has now issued to these representations. The delay in replying was due mainly to priority being given to clearing the backlog of grant payments which built up towards the latter quarter of last year.
