Question:90 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Marine the size of boats which are licensed to fish for salmon inside the 12 mile limits; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Where a salmon fishing boat was registered prior to 31 December, 1978 there is a maximum size limit of 50 feet overall.
Where a boat was registered after that date a maximum size limit of 40 feet overall applies.
