Question:

171 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for Education the action which is being taken to ensure that Irish sport remains drug free.

The need for introducing measures to combat drug-taking in sport is recognised by the Government. Accordingly, procedures are in train for Ireland to sign the Anti-Doping Convention of the Council of Europe.
