Vol. 397 No. 5

Written Answers. - Energy Costs.

Séamus Pattison

Question:

32 Mr. Pattison asked the Minister for Labour the amount spent on energy costs by each agency under his control in each of the years form 1985 to date; the source of energy primarily used by each agency; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The data requested by the Deputy in relation to FÁS, CERT, Great Southern Hotels Limited, and the Employment Equality Agency are day-to-day operational matters. If the Deputy wishes to pursue this matter he should contact these bodies directly.

Energy costs incurred by the Labour Court, the Employment Appeals Tribunal and the recently established National Authority for Occupational Safety and Health are met from my Department's allocation. The table which I propose to circulate with the Official Report sets out the relevant expenditure for 1988 and 1989. Prior to this date, the costs were met from the Office of Public Works Vote.
