Vol. 397 No. 5

Written Answers. - Agricultural Training.

Emmet Stagg

Question:

46 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Labour if he has any plans or proposals to use resources available to him to assist in improving the level and quality of agricultural training; if he regards this as a matter exclusively for the Minister for Agriculture and Food; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Training in agriculture is a matter for the Minister for Agriculture and Food. The Industrial Training Act, 1967, excludes FÁS from any activity of agriculture which is an activity of primary production and I have no plans to change this.
