Vol. 397 No. 5

Written Answers. - Marina Facilities.

Phil Hogan

Question:

94 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for the Marine if he will expedite proposals submitted by a club (details supplied) in County Waterford to provide marina facilities at Dunmore East, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

With regard to the proposals in question, because of major technical difficulties in the development of the marina facilities proposed the club were advised to reassess their scheme.

Revised proposals have been informally submitted by the architect for the club and these are currently under examination by engineers from my Department. Due to the recent spell of bad weather the engineers have been unable to conduct depth soundings in the area proposed for new marina breakwater construction.
