Question:142 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of cattle in the country in 1989 and the number of reactors, both TB and brucellosis, identified in the same year.

The number of cattle in the country in June 1989 totalled 6.8 million, and I have been informed by the director of ERAD that the number of TB and brucellosis reactors identified during 1989 totalled 43,385 and 8,774 respectively.
