Question:238 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for the Environment if, in light of the successful take-up of the 1988 tenant purchase scheme by local authority tenants, he intends to extend the application time under this scheme.

It is not proposed to extend the closing date for the receipt of applications under the 1988 tenant purchase scheme which in the case of houses was 31 December 1988 and of flats and maisonettes was 30 March 1990.
