Vol. 397 No. 9

Written Answers. - Consumer Protection Legislation.

Ruairí Quinn

Question:

242 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for the Environment the plans, if any, he has to provide for the proper registration of the title of architect within Irish society, having regard to the current EC Directive and the need to provide proper consumer protection legislation in this important area, where large sums of money are contracted to be spent by individual consumers; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There are no plans to provide for the registration of the title of architect at the present time.
