Vol. 397 No. 9

Written Answers. - Limerick School Accommodation.

Michael Noonan

Question:

335 Mr. M. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the serious accommodation problem at a secondary school (details supplied) in Limerick; if she has any plans to provide grant aid to the extension proposed by the school management; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Architectural planning of the school's extension has reached Stage 2 (outline sketch scheme) of the Department's design team procedures.

In common with all school building projects this project is being reviewed at present in the context of anticipated enrolments both in the short and long term. When this review is completed a decision will be taken as to the accommodation requirements of the school.
