Question:361 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Education if she intends appointing a remedial teacher to schools (details supplied) in County Limerick; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I have sanctioned during 1989-90 30 additional remedial teachers to supplement the existing cadre 900 remedial teachers in primary schools. I will be keeping the appointment of further remedial teachers in primary schools under review.
