Vol. 397 No. 9

Written Answers. - Ordnance Survey Office.

Austin Deasy

Question:

89 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Finance if he will agree to the setting up of an Ordnance Survey regional office in Waterford in view of the statement made by the Minister of State at his Department in the course of an Adjournment debate in Seanad Éireann on 14 March 1990; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Theresa Ahearn

Question:

98 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Finance if it is his intention to locate an Ordnance Survey regional office in Clonmel, County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 89 and 98 together. As was pointed out by my colleague, Deputy Brendan Daly in the Adjournment debate in Seanad Éireann on the 14 March 1990 I have asked the management of the Ordnance Survey to look at the possibility of establishing a few small regional offices and to report to me by the end of this month. I am awaiting the report and I will consider its proposals before making any decision on the location of regional offices.
