Vol. 399 No. 2

Written Answers. - Cork Veterinary Laboratory Staffing.

Paul Bradford

Question:

83 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if, in view of the problems caused by staff shortages at his Department's regional veterinary laboratory, Cork, he will take steps to ensure that extra staff are appointed there.

Every effort is being made to fill the vacancy in the regional veterinary laboratory. However due to shortages of staff in the grade, it will not be possible to transfer a clerical assistant to the laboratory until mid-June.
